Hoje tivemos o segmento mais difícil até agora. Não a distância, embora a cada dia aumentemos um pouco, mas o terreno não era amigável, especialmente os 3 km finais. E o fato de termos subido a maior parte do tempo não ajudou.
Além disso, não havia muitas fotos interessantes a serem tiradas, mas Marlene conseguiu algumas.
Por exemplo, havia uma janela que as pessoas que tinham piedade dos condenados podiam usar para dar água ou comida, mas caso contrário não lhes seria dada nenhuma até sua execução pelos crimes de que foram acusados. Isto foi na prisão do bispo, junto à catedral.
Então para uma prac6onde fizemos nosso aquecimento físico.
Assim que começamos a sair da cidade, havia muitos caramujos na calçada e na vegetação.
O primeiro marcador oficial que encontramos nos disse que estamos a 260 km de Santiago.
Após um trecho reto de 10 km de extensão, chegamos a El Ganso e paramos para o almoço.
Mas o lugar escolhido não tinha escolhas alimentares decentes, então só tomamos bebidas e continuamos. Até o cavalo estava cansado.
Depois chegamos a um trecho que tinha muitos anúncios de táxi. Deveria ter entendido que a parte mais difícil do dia começava ali.
There the terrain became full of roots and we were very thankful it hadn't rained because if it had it would have been very muddy and dangerous.
There is a fence to the right and people decorated it with hundreds of make shift crosses using twigs found on the way.
We finally arrived at our Albergue and after a well deserved shower waited for the restaurant to reopen for dinner at 19:00.
After that we tried to go to town but there were thunders and sprinkles starting. Since we don't have an extra set of clothes were already using our tomorrow walking clothes and decided to retire early instead of getting wet on the forming storm, which so far (21:45) has not arrived.
So as a recap, most of the path was boring, parallel to a road or another.
Even though we left earlier than previous days we still only arrived at our destination at 16:30. But we had to stop every time we finished a step since they were so tiring.
Tomorrow the plan is to leave at 06:00 and beat the heat of the Sun. This will be harder since we will reach O Cebreiro, the highest point of our walk.
